Do you have an animal soul mate?

I am convinced Silver, a pretty, white, Arabian gelding, is my soul mate. Our union transformed both of our lives in ways I could never have imagined. Thirteen years ago, Silver visited me in a dream and soon after I adopted him. In the beginning, our relationship went through some tough adjustments. I found out the hard way; Silver was not a horse you could jump on and ride on into the sunset. He was heavily traumatized from being misunderstood by humans, who mistook his exquisite intelligence for disobedience.

However, in our journey of getting to know each other, Silver showed me his extravagant dance moves, which led to us developing our Dancing with Horses program. Along with this skill, Silver demonstrated his uncanny ability to read people. His astute awareness of human’s strengths and weaknesses, led to us to create a powerful healing modality we call Rapport with Horses; allowing people to connect to a horse by being utterly authentic.

A few days ago on April 6th, we celebrated Silver’s 31 years on the planet. In a profound astrology reading I received several years ago from Scott Wolfram, Scott informed me of two interesting asteroids which live on my Leo Ascendant. One called Silver and the other called Sylvia. Sylvia was a goddess who had a special relationship with a horse and is also the name of my mother. I intuitively renamed Silver soon after adopting him (his previous name was Yo Yo). What makes this information even more poignant is that on Silver’s birthday three years ago, my mother, Sylvia, died.

For his birthday this year, Silver got to dance with a wonderful woman who came here for our Shamanic Horse Retreat. After witnessing their enchanting fairytale dance, performed to "Graceful Ghost Rag" by William Bolcoc, the woman exclaimed "Silver is the mystical horse I've dreamed of since I was young. Dancing with him fulfilled an enduring childhood wish."
